Busy streets, apathetic newsmen, over-fed congress, and a city that does not seem to care may be an overused understatement of today.

We are living in an iterative and busy society that seem to have long forgotten how life should be lived.
We are very mindful of the things that we need to do today, tomorrow, the things we forgot to do yesterday, last month, last year, every year. We know what we need to do for tomorrow's class, but end up not caring.

We are busy. We are not busy.

It has always been in my/our mind(s) all these colorable things we want to/ have to do every day. We tend to forget ourselves. We tend to forget others. We tend to forget our duties as a parent, a student, a child, a member of this society, a customer of that nearby foodstand. We tend to forget our values. We tend to forget God. We tend to forget we are Christians.

All of these - too obvious not to see.
All of us- too busy to see

So many figurative lessons have been taught to us (or "least to some of us") in this class, studying the Life and Rules of St. Benedict- the several chapters of guidelines, core values, things like that:
1. We know about being silent!!!
2. We "praise and glorify" through prayer;
3. We "obey;"
4. We act on "Stewardship;"
5. We "listen" (do we?);
6. We are HUMBLE. (yes, we are VERY humble.);
7. We live in Peace (peace by peace);
8. We work;

9. We are a       c        o      m      m      u      n      i      t      y;
10. We are Hospitable (except to this particular person)

I would not say that things have changed because I have learned these things. I could not say that we are heading for growth and maturity.
I would not say that we will slowly go back (or forward) in developing our community.I will not say these at all.

Although, I would say that one thing came upon me: a small hint of light. a light that taught me how we could actually achieve these things if we could somehow simultaneously learn to grow- with our brothers and sisters of this same community, or with the other communities even.

All of us - are all of these.
